He began his educational training at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, where he played collegiate baseball and earned a chemistry degree. After college, Dr. Minkin began a career in pediatric cancer research within the pharmaceutical sciences department of St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital. During his time at St. Jude his research contributions in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics were published in several peer reviewed journals

He then earned his DDS from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. Dr. Minkin continued his educational training, completing a General Practice Residency at Louisiana State University Hospital in New Orleans and an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery internship with the Oral Surgical Institute in Nashville. He then completed Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He has provided wide scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery services to Northwest Arkansas since 2018. He participates in regional facial trauma coverage maintaining privileges at Washington Regional Hospital, North Arkansas Regional Hospital, Northwest Medical Center, Arkansas Children’s Hospital and Mercy Hospital in Northwest Arkansas. His office based practice focuses on traditional Oral and Maxillofacial services including complex dental alveolar surgery, bone grafting / dental implant surgery, maxillofacial pathology, pre-prosthetic / orthodontic related surgery and pediatric oral surgical procedures.
